    Manages retail pharmacy operations for designated site. Responsible for achievement of customer service, clinical initiative objectives, financial objectives, and regulatory compliance; adherence to professional practices and Kelsey-Seybold Clinic(KSC) and Kelsey Pharmacy policies and procedures; and management of all assigned personnel including students. Manages pharmacy personnel, provision of services, inventory, and over-all profitability. Performs all duties of a registered pharmacist including accurate dispensing and counseling of prescriptions to customers. Must be flexible and willing to change work schedule with little or no notice.




    A.  Graduate of School of Pharmacy



    A.  2-4 years of retail pharmacy experience.


    B.  HMO and 3rd party managed care experience.

          2 years of experience as Pharmacist in charge.



    A.  Current Texas Pharmacy License


    B.  BCLS

          Immunization Certification

          Pharmacy Preceptor Certification



    A.  Operate computer terminal for processing prescriptions



    A.  Communication – able to communicate with Pharmacy Department personnel to delegate duties, inform about policies, train, assist with performance appraisals, and approve refunds/expense/returns. Able to communicate with customers to handle complaints and problems, assist with questions, and recommend products/recommendations.

          Stress Tolerance – to accurately process prescriptions within the required amount of time.

          Professional Appearance.


    B.   Write reports (i.e., weekly/monthly, accident/injury, expense, security), maintain logs, complete daily Pharmacy Department personnel worklists, prepare paperwork for bank deposits, complete requisitions, and complete new hire paperwork.

            Able to travel to multiple pharmacy locations.
