JOB SUMMARY

The Nurse Manager Endoscopy provides leadership in daily clinical operations of the Endoscopy Unit, in accordance with established State rules and regulations, and AAAHC standards for ambulatory surgical facilities. Develops and enforces compliance with ASC policies and procedures. This position works closely with the providers, ASC Director, Clinical-Quality Manager, Nurse Manager OR/ Pre-Op/PACU, ASC Business Office Manager, ASC Educators, Staff, and Medical Staff Leadership. 

 

 EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

(A = basics; B = preferred)

  

Education

A.

BSN or 5 years of management experience

B.

 MSN preferred

Experience

A.

5 years clinical experience in Endoscopy. Minimum 2 years management experience.

 

B.

Ambulatory Surgery Center or Endoscopy Center experience

Licenses

A.

BCLS, ACLS within one year of hire date, Texas RN

B.

 Specialty Certification

Special Skills

A.

Computer skills; working knowledge with Word, Power Point

B.

Working knowledge with MSM

Other

A.

Previous AAAHC preparation experience

B.

SGNA/CGRN certification
