JOB SUMMARY

The Manager, Special Events is responsible for leading and managing all signature special events for Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, including grand openings, special speaker series featuring physicians, evening and weekend events at clinics and other venues to engage prospects to learn more about Kelsey-Seybold experts and services; development and deployment of a strategic plan to maximize partnerships with charitable organizations, selected employers/employer organizations, and selected community organizations to maximize positive exposure of Kelsey-Seybold Clinic to targeted audiences in the community; maximization of existing sponsorships by Kelsey-Seybold for greatest value. The Manager will possess the ability to manage all aspects of the Special Events process including budgeting, concept, and events plan with all details, detailed execution for success; tracking and reporting of results on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.  The Manager will manage staff and contractors for outcomes and lead a Houston-area-wide master plan for publicizing Kelsey physicians and services and engaging new prospects. The Manager will gather research, conceptualize offerings designed to maximize the experience and the interaction with Kelsey-Seybold physicians and services, and on an ongoing basis, develop process improvement and outcomes improvement for Special Events.

 

 EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education

A.

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or equivalent

Master’s Degree

Experience

A.

Minimum of 5 years of marketing experience, with 3 years of experience specifically in special events development, management and execution.

Experience in Healthcare setting

Licenses

A.

Valid Drivers License

B.

 

Special Skills

A.

Superior organizational skills with a focus on outcomes. Strong planning skills and strong communication skills to work with multiple audiences both internal and external. Ability to manage both employees and contractors.
