    JOB SUMMARY

    Provide radiation oncology treatments and high quality patient care. Act as an essential member of the Cancer Service Team. Demonstrate the ability to operate all treatment and simulation equipment.

     

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    (A = basics; B = preferred)

     

    Education

    A.

    High school diploma or equivalent.

    Graduated from accredited Radiation Therapy Program

     

    B.

    BS or AA degree 

    Experience

    A.

    Minimum of 3 years performing as Radiation Therapist

    B.

    Minimum of 1 years of experience using a True beam Linear Accelerator

     

    Licenses

    A.

    • Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technology Technologist
    • Licensed by the Department of Health as medical Radiological Technologist

    • CPR Certified

     

    B.

     

    Special   Skills

    A.

    • Clinical judgment and knowledge of radiation therapy, practices and safety
    • Must maintain and complete continuing education in applicable areas to ensure competency is maintained

    Other

    A.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
    • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook email

    • Flexibility of Work Schedule required

    • Ability to multi-task as a clinical leader and working therapist (50% staffing/50% Management)
