RN II Infusion
Location: Spring Medical Diagnostic Center
Job Type: Full-Time
To assist director, supervisor in the organization and daily function of the Infusion Center in accordance with established federal, state, and accreditation standards, regulations and Center policies and procedures. To assist the Hematology Oncology Providers and Nurse Supervisor in overseeing patient care activities in the Infusion Center. To maintain high standard of safety for the patient and staff members. Patient liaison for care rendered. Monitor stock levels, outdated supplies and equipment needs and report to Nurse Supervisor/Clinic Administrator.
The Kelsey-Seybold Cancer Center offers leading edge technology and is a nationally accredited center. The Cancer Center is home to state-of-the-art diagnostics such as PET, CT, MRI, genetic testing and stereotactic breast biopsy. The Cancer Center provides highly personalized cancer treatment in a comfortable, outpatient setting with free parking for patients as well as staff. The Cancer Center offers paid Oncology certification as well as promotes multiple opportunities for continuing education. This position does not require working weekends, call or major holidays. The position provides an opportunity to work alongside the physician to care for patients currently undergoing oral or IV chemotherapy as well as patient at various stages of hematologic or oncologic care. This position will also collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care adhering to industry and company standards. Additionally this position will coordinate and maintain continuity of patient care while providing professional nursing care to patients through education, telephone triage, and assisting with in-office procedures. The hours of operation are Monday – Friday (8-5pm) and no major holidays.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
(A = basics; B = preferred)
RN required education
5 years RN experience
2 years Infusion Center experience or equivalent IV experience
Ambulatory Infusion Center setting
RN, CPR, (ACLS or willing to obtain)
Completion annually of 10 CEU’s related to Oncology, OCN certification within 12 months of employment.
Basic computer skills
Clear communication skills
Ability to train clinical staff
Flexible work hours.
