    JOB SUMMARY

    To assist in providing care of the endoscopy patient in the Endoscopy suite under the direction of a RN. Assisting, instrument / equipment decontamination and preparation. Maintains accurate high level disinfection documents as defined by ASC policy.

     

     EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    (A = basics; B = preferred)

      

    Education

    A.

    High School Diploma or GED and successful completion of a Endoscopy Technician Training program

     

    B.

    Endoscopy experience

    Experience

    A.

    3+ years of experience as an endoscopy technician in an ASC or hospital setting

     

    B.

    Certified Endoscopy Technician

    Licenses

    A.

    CPR

    B.

    Preferred sterile processing experience.

    Special Skills

    A.

    Basic computer skills, highly organized

    CSPD 

    Special Skills

    A.

    Articulate verbal and accurate written communication skills. Detailed oriented
