     JOB SUMMARY

    The Laboratory Services Supervisor facilitates all operational aspects of Point of Care lab services as well as 3rd party lab services utilized by Kelsey-Seybold Clinic to include: investigation of individual laboratory issues on a clinic by clinic basis, data collection for performance improvement activities, proper set up and maintenance of account #s for new and existing physicians as well as special accounts, research and reconciliation of billing inquiries. Responsibility of supervising and rotating to multiple clinic sites. This position will also assist with the ongoing electronic medical records maintenance as it pertains to lab and other duties as assigned.

     

     

     

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    Education

    A.

    Bachelor’s degree

    B.

    Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related science/field of study

    Experience

    A.

    • 5 years’ experience in a clinical laboratory setting or laboratory business setting; minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
    • Knowledgeable of CLIA regulations and ability to summarize inspection findings for Compliance, Waived and PPM certifications.

    B.

    2 years’ experience as a laboratory supervisor.

    Valid driver’s license

    ASCP MLT/MT or equivalent

    Special Skills

    A.

    Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills

    Knowledgeable of waived and PPM tests performance and quality control/ proficiency testing and monitoring
