    JOB SUMMARY

    Facilities Manager will be responsible for the management of Facility Department operations, and supervision and coordination of all maintenance technicians and outside contractors. First line responsibility for management of major projects and minor renovations. These responsibilities shall be carried out in a manner consistent with high-quality construction and maintenance, and economical operation of the building’s engineering equipment and systems.

     

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    (A = basics; B = preferred)

     

    Education

    A.

    Bachelor’s degree or substitute 1 yr. experience for one year college as basis.

    B.

    Technical Training/Certification

    Experience

    A.

    Minimum of 8 years in healthcare facilities/construction management. Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, & electrical systems, fire alarm and security systems, building renovations and maintenance repairs. Successful completion of Joint Commission Accreditation Surveys.

    B.

    Multi-facility management. Computer based maintenance management system experience.

    Licenses

    A.

    Required licensure in one of fields of expertise described above.

    Excellent communication skills, computer skills, technical ability.
